Barry Bonds facing the last strike – The man with most home runs in the history of the big leagues, is facing prosecution claiming he deserves a tough sentence because of wife beating, lovers, and friends. Barry Bonds finds himself all alone, with empty bases, and facing the most dangerous pitchers. What happens was that the ex home runner of the Giants of San Francisco, like many others who were great in the field but so small out of it, thought that his popularity will never end. And even worst thinking that his fame would be a shield which will protect him against any judgment, like a regular human being.
He will go in front of a jury next March 21st. This jury will rely on testimonies of those lovers and friends who it seems just yesterday enjoyed his lavishing style and help him spend his money.Barry was very wrong and he needs to pay for his mistakes. But the hands that clapped for him so strongly, today, are used to point out his shortcomings, and any similarity with life itself is pure coincidence. El hombre record en cuadrangulares en toda la historia de las Grandes Ligas, se encuentra a punto de ser ponchado por un fiscal que reclama su condena por malos tratos a su esposa, amantes y amistades. Barry Bonds se encuentra solo, con las bases vacías y enfrenta al más peligroso de sus pitchers. Es que el ex-jonronero de los Gigantes de San Francisco, como tantos otros deportistas que fueron grandes dentro de un stadium y muy pequeños fuera de él, pensaba que su popularidad nunca acabaría. Y lo que es peor, que esa fama seria un escudo que lo liberaría de ser juzgado alguna vez, como un ser humano común.
El próximo 21 de marzo, deberá enfrentarse a un jurado, que se apoyará paradójicamente en el testimonio de amantes y amigos más cercanos, que “ayer” festejaban todo con él y lo ayudaron a dilapidar su dinero.

Nikki Pappacena, or simply called, “Matador”
When I arrived to the Weston Club F.C. some years ago, he was just a regular kid who used to alternate few minutes playing as a forward with so many boring hours in his role as side marker. It only took me to see him play a couple of his electrifying runs in diagonal to appreciate that that was his natural habitat and from then on where he would be the happiest.
Nikki Pappacena, took our U14 Premier team to very important tournaments in the country where they accomplished good records. The won several championships such as the Regular Season, and in other cases they finished right at the door of glory like in the case of the 2009 State Cup where they won the Second Place. But last week Nikki, excellent player, good student and good son, decided to have his record straight and together with the Cypress Bay H.S. team obtained the title of State Champion.Good job, “Matador” and keep it on.

Cuando llegué al club de Weston F.C hace unos años atrás, el era un chico más y alternaba unos pocos minutos jugando como delantero con horas de aburrimiento desempeñándose de marcador lateral. Solo me bastó ver un par de sus electrizantes corridas en diagonal, para darme cuenta de que el área grande seria su hábitat natural de ahora en adelante y el lugar en el mundo donde sería feliz.
Nikki Pappacena, llevó a nuestro equipo de U14 Premier a importantes torneos del país donde acumularon muchos logros. Ellos ganaron varios campeonatos entre ellos, la Temporada Regular, y en otros casos quedaron en la puerta misma de la Gloria, como fue en la Copa del Estado del 2009 donde obtuvieron el sub-campeonato. Pero la semana pasada Nikki, excelente jugador, buen alumno y mejor hijo, se puso al día con esa asignatura pendiente y obtuvo junto al equipo de Cypress High el titulo de Campeón Estatal. Enhorabuena, ‘Matador” y que sigan los éxitos.

Ronaldo fue un tren cargado de mágicos goles que pasó brillantemente por el tunel del fútbol, cambiando tantas veces de colores y de amores, como cambios de velocidad y de rumbo dentro del área enemiga , para llegar un día como ayer a la estación final donde el cartelito reza: Reino del reconocimiento popular eterno: “lugar exclusivo reservado solo para leyendas”, Tristeza ñao teim fim, felicidade si…………
