City of Weston Proclaims 2011 Relay For Life of Weston Weekend – April 16-17 at Cypress Bay High School in Weston The City of Weston, at last evenings City Commission meeting, issued a Proclamation proclaiming April 16-17, 2011 as 2011 Relay For Life of Weston Weekend. The official proclamation was presented to Ross Sabath, this year’s Relay For Life of Weston Event Chair. Ross is also a Weston resident and himself a cancer survivor. The American Cancer Society’s 2011 Relay For Life of Weston invites everyone to come out for the celebration. Yes, this is a celebration. This family-oriented team event brings participants from all parts of the community together in a “celebration of life.” Businesses, civic clubs, churches, friends, and families take turns walking in relay fashion while they also celebrate the critical role the American Cancer Society plays in the fight against cancer.
Before the Relay For Life of Weston Weekend takes place, there is still much to do and Relay is looking for you! Relay committee members want the community to know there are many ways to help and participate: 1. Form a TEAM , 2. Register as a team member or a sponsor, 3. Make a donation, 4. Purchase a luminary in honor of a loved one touched by cancer, 5. Come out on Relay Weekend event and show your support!
